Boston Pastor Asks Lynch For Help Reducing Gun Violence
Massachusetts Officials Say Most Guns Used In Crimes Come From Other States

Pastor Bruce Wall of Global Ministries Christian Church has long been outspoken about gun violence in Massachusetts. The topic got new attention recently when Philip Markoff was charged with using a gun bought in New Hampshire to kill a woman he met on craigslist.org.
Wall said the people who use the guns illegally need to take responsibility for their own actions, but he said he thinks that by bringing more awareness to the issue, it could prevent tragedies.
"What's happening is residents from Boston are traveling to New Hampshire and working with the locals, New Hampshire residents," Wall said. "New Hampshire residents are purchasing the weapons and giving those weapons to those from Massachusetts."
In the Granite State, a resident who passes a background check can purchase a gun. In Massachusetts, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said that of the guns used in Massachusetts crimes, only 20 percent were purchased in the Bay State, and the rest came from states with more lax gun laws.
Wall said he visited New Hampshire to get Lynch's attention. Lynch has told News 9 that he believes the state's gun laws are appropriate, but Wall said he isn't trying to change the law.
"I'm coming to New Hampshire and asking the governor if he will publically say to New Hampshire young people, 'This is not right. You need to be careful,'" Wall said.
Wall and Lynch did speak for a few minutes behind closed doors. Wall said they talked about coming up with a plan that would allow them to work together.
"I believe he and I will have more talks," Wall said. "I was not sure he'd be able to see me, but now he knows me and I know him, and I'm coming back."
Lynch declined to speak with News 9 after Wall's visit.

Church is to be blamed
CHANGE CAME THROUGH THE CHURCH
In the 60's and the 70's the Black churches in the south were the catalyst for social, economic, political and spiritual change. The church was the main social outlet for the Black community. The movement for change in the south was born out of the church. Furthermore, most of our the leaders who brought the systemic change in the south came out of the black church.
THE CHURCH USED TO BE AN AGENT OF CHANGE
In Boston, the Black church was used of God to bring about a revolution that motivated the leaders of the City of Boston to stop the violence that claimed the lives, through violence, of hundreds of teens from 1988 to 1996. Today, the many issues that plague the Black community have manifested itself in Black on Black crime.
DEATH ON THE STREETS OF BOSTON
Children and teens are killing their peers and parents by shooting them in the head and leaving them to die in the streets of Boston. Where is the church? Why is it silent?
THE CHURCH HAS BEEN BOUGHT OFF
I have concluded that the Black church has been "bought off" by the government through something called the faith-based initiative. The government says that we cannot pray in the school, that the Bible can no longer be read in the classrooms and that churches that accept government grants cannot teach about Jesus.
THE MESSAGE ABOUT JESUS "SAVED" FAMILIES
What saved the lives of thousands of teens that I used to work with is the message of hope and salvation that came from the pulpits, flowed into the streets and impacted the lives of youth and their familes who were living without hope.
When the government "pays the church off" to be silent the message of hope and salvation dies and the church loses its message and potency. When the government used the church as their base for the election campaigns, the church became a prostitute. When government officials isolate and marginalize pastors who are agents of change and buy off pastors to be silent, the church stops being the church and becomes simply a non-profit organization created to do nothing else but to bring money into their organization to sustain their existence.
I BLAME THE BLACK CHURCH
I am laying the death of our children, teens and adults at the doorstep of the Black church. The church has sold it message for government grants to hire staff that must be approved by the government.
WATERED DOWN
The church has watered down their message because it must be screened by the government before it can be proclaimed.
JESUS HAS TO GO
The church has taken the name of Jesus off their programs, applications for grant money and out of their messages that they preach so that the government will continue to pour federal, city and state dollars into the Black churches of Boston.
My anger and frustration is not with the GOVERNMENT. They are only doing what the government does, i.e., they sanitize and change the message of the church to make it politically correct so that our message of salvation will not hurt or offend the tax payer whose money is now running the churches in Boston.
STOP TAKING THE GRANTS
The Church needs to stop accepting the government money and start to win the lost for Jesus. I say that the church must raise the money to fund our ministries through the tithes from their members. If we want to stop the violence in th City of Boston every church must take the pledge to not accept the money from the government and teach and proclaim the message from the Bible without compromise and without needing to be politically correct.
In 1988, when I went to the Chez Vous Roller Skating Rink in Mattapan and worked with Christian leaders to stop the violence at Chez Vous we did it on a budget of $5,000 dollars a year that came from the church and our pockets. We saw Chez Vous transition from a place once called the "Bucket of Blood" or "Pistol City" to a place of peace. It was the message of Hope about a faith relationship in Jesus that changed people's lives.
FEDERAL DOLLARS
It was when the federal dollars started pouring into Boston to fund the pastors in the crusade against violence that I began to see ministers sanitize their message, compete for the same "government welfare handouts" and stop trusting each other as they built their non-profit programs and empires. Their goal was to out do their ministerial colleagues so that they could attract the dollars to their churches to fund their ministries.
I charge the church with being greedy and loving money over against winning lost souls for Christ...without the government paying for it.

10,000 Bullets
DORCHESTER PASTOR TO TRAVEL TO NEW HAMPSHIRE TO SPEAK ABOUT ILLEGAL GUNS
I WANT TO KNOW WHO SOLD THE 10,000 BULLETS
Pastor Bruce Wall, Senior Pastor of the Global Ministries Christian Church and Television and Radio broadcaster, will travel to New Hampshire to track down the person who sold 10,000 bullets to the Haverhill man who was arrested for having 30,000 bullets in his possession.
THE NAMES OF GUN DEALERS
A letter will be sent to Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett for the name and the address of the gun dealer who sold the bullets to the man who was arraigned for weapons possession.
55,000 POUNDS OF AMMUNITION
Pastor Wall will ask some Boston Pastors to travel with him to New Hampshire. The man arrested for illegal weapons possession had recently displayed a large sum of cash in an effort to purchase 55,000 rounds of ammunition in New Hampshire.
WE WILL SPEAK WITH GOVERNOR LYNCH
Pastor Wall will also speak to the New Hampshire Governor John Lynch and ask him what can be done to stop the illegal weapons from coming from New Hampshire, to Boston and then ending up on the streets of Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan. The illegal weapons pouring into Boston have been used to shoot our children and teens, often in the head at a point blank range.
This individual who was arrested is facing charges of illegal possession of ammunition, three counts of possession of a high-capacity firearm, and three counts of illegal storage of a firearm.

Who Really Cares?
WHO REALLY CARES?
If one white person from out of town is shot in Boston the city puts helicopters in the air and the Black pastors have a press conference downtown with the politicians to speak about the violence.
IF A BLACK PERSON DIES
If a Black person is shot twice in the back of the head we have a funeral and the politicians attend the funerals and say the same thing. WE MUST TAKE BACK OUR STREETS. The preachers preach, the families mourn their loved ones and the friends of the deceased talk about what a great person has just been murdered.
IT IS JUST A GAME
After the funeral the politicians go golfing or to their NEXT EVENT, the children and teens go back to school, the family of the deceased return home to a shattered life and we all brace for the next "Menace To Society" killing of another teen, child or baby.
IT IS A CYCLE THAT BRINGS MONEY TO BOSTON
The more teens, children and babies die in our city the more money comes to Boston to fight crime.
The more teens, children and babies die in our city the more police officers are hired.
The more teens, children and babies die in our city the more court officials are hired
The more teens, children and babies die in our city more and more pastors can apply for a grant to fight the crime.
Unfortunately the pastors will not receive the grants if they speak out about the crime and honestly do something about the violence on the streets. It appears that the grants serve as "hush money" and too many pastors and community activists are falling into the trap.
The worse it gets on the street the more money is made available...to do what?
GET INTO THE STREETS
How many teenagers, children and babies need to be shot and killed in Boston before we get back on the streets to protect our families. I have never seen such an inability for leaders to unify and come together to create a comprehensive plan to save the lives of the teens, children and babies in this city.
HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE?
How many more teenagers, children and babies need to die in the city before we all declare a community focused State of Emergency to stop the homicides in Boston
I WILL CONTINUE TO SPEAK OUT

The Politicians Need Us
THE POLITICIANS NEED US
Boston, MA - This is a mayoral election year and politicians are seeking the vote of the Black community.
I have been courted by candidates seeking my support because they think that I have influence in the City.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR VOTE AWAY
This election year I am asking the voters in the Black community not to give their vote away. Make the politicians earn your vote.
THEY TAKE US FOR GRANTED
For too long politicians in Boston have acted like we owe them our vote. They take us and our vote for granted. This most stop. Most of the candidates in this City recognize that they can easily win with the Black vote.
For too long the pastors have given their support and vote to politicians without making them work for it. This is the year for this practice to stop.
SOME PASTORS WILL NOT SPEAK UP
Our youth are dying in the streets of Boston and the pastors cannot speak up about it unless they have permission from the politicians.
LOSE THEIR FUNDING
Some pastors are afraid to independently create a plan to stop the violence on the streets for fear of having their funding from the City or State rescinded.
THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR PROMISE
Pastors stop prostituting, i.e., selling yourselves to the politicians for promises that they cannot keep.
We must make the politicians earn our vote with more than a visit to our churches and $2.00 dollars in the offering plate.
THEY WORK FOR US
The politicians work for us we do not work for them. Any politician who wants my vote will need to show me that they will do more than visit my church on a Sunday morning.
For example, I want to know if the politicians, who want my vote, will walk with me to a radio station that has threatened to have pastors, women and children arrested for exercising our right to assemble to pray.
WE NEED YOU WHEN IT COUNTS
My message to the politicians in this city is simply this, if you cannot walk and stand with me when me it counts why should I, or any pastor, give you our vote?
This is a warning for any politician. Your time for violating the community of color has ended. Our votes are not for sale.
"MURDER CAPITAL OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS"
I pray that the men and the women in the churches that are located in the most troubled parts of Boston, the "Murder Capital of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts" will rise up and stop their pastors from walking the marbled floors of City Hall or the State House to sell themselves or their congregations for promises that the politicians will not keep.
YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BLACK VOTE
In the upcoming mayoral elections none of two announced candidates or the incumbent Mayor will be guaranteed the Black vote. They will have to earn it. Our vote will not be cheap and the price for our vote will cost more than an empty promise.

For too long the pastors have given their support and vote to politicians without making them work for it. This is the year for this practice to stop.
SOME PASTORS WILL NOT SPEAK UP
Our youth are dying in the streets of Boston and the pastors cannot speak up about it unless they have permission from the politicians.
LOSE THEIR FUNDING
Some pastors are afraid to independently create a plan to stop the violence on the streets for fear of having their funding from the City or State rescinded.
THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR PROMISE
Pastors stop prostituting, i.e., selling yourselves to the politicians for promises that they cannot keep.
We must make the politicians earn our vote with more than a visit to our churches and $2.00 dollars in the offering plate.
THEY WORK FOR US
The politicians work for us we do not work for them. Any politician who wants my vote will need to show me that they will do more than visit my church on a Sunday morning.
For example, I want to know if the politicians, who want my vote, will walk with me to a radio station that has threatened to have pastors, women and children arrested for exercising our right to assemble to pray.
WE NEED YOU WHEN IT COUNTS
My message to the politicians in this city is simply this, if you cannot walk and stand with me when me it counts why should I, or any pastor, give you our vote?
This is a warning for any politician. Your time for violating the community of color has ended. Our votes are not for sale.
"MURDER CAPITAL OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS"
I pray that the men and the women in the churches that are located in the most troubled parts of Boston, the "Murder Capital of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts" will rise up and stop their pastors from walking the marbled floors of City Hall or the State House to sell themselves or their congregations for promises that the politicians will not keep.
YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BLACK VOTE
In the upcoming mayoral elections none of two announced candidates or the incumbent Mayor will be guaranteed the Black vote. They will have to earn it. Our vote will not be cheap and the price for our vote will cost more than an empty promise.
